Quick Overview
The GP-7 FRP motorsport helmet conforms to the new SNELL SA2020 standard as well as the FIA 8859-2015 homologation. A Complex Laminate Construction with Arai’s proprietary Peripheral Belt for additional reinforcement has been used, giving the best characteristics for the shell’s glancing off ability. The round, smooth and strong outer shell is a feature every Arai possesses. The ability to glance off energy works together in conjunction with the helmet’s absorption ability to maximize gains in protection. Impact energy that does not come into the helmet does not have to be managed. That leaves more of the helmet’s energy absorbing liner to manage what impact energy does make it into the helmet.
The Arai 1-piece multiple density EPS inner liner combined with the PB-cLc outer shell has created an unparalleled helmet design. Different EPS densities are seamlessly formed together into a single liner of uniform thickness matching both the smooth contour of the shell and organic shape of the rider’s head for a comfortable helmet with great visibility and glancing off ability. Facial Contour System (FCS-2) cheek pads provide an incredibly comfortable, yet firm, fit that cradles your cheeks and wraps gently under your jaw to reduce lift and limit noise intrusion from underneath. Optional cheek pad sizes are available to help customize the fit to your specific requirements. FHR M6 threaded anchors are fitted inside the helmet for easy installation of optional FHR post mounts if required. The GP-7 also features a removable centre chin piece to easily install a drinking system.
The GP-7 (FRP) looks identical to the SRC version, having been made utilizing the same tooling, and comes with 7 holes on the top with white ventilation ducts, two TDF3 ducts on the front, three tear ducts in the middle and one XDB duct on the rear. This optimises the airflow and keeps your head cool while driving. A new Variable Axis System (VAS) shield pivot mechanism has been incorporated to lower the shield pivot point while still allowing the shield to fully open and clear the shell. New low-profile pivot screws are used, requiring the use of a T20 torx wrench, which is included for your convenience.
