Manxman Dan Kneen secured his best-ever Superbike TT result in yesterday’s race, taking fifth place despite incurring a 30s penalty for speeding in pitlane.
The Penz13.com BMW man broke into the 130mph during practice and had to do it again in order to pinch fifth from veteran Michael Rutter to take the Rico Penzkofer-run squad to their highest finish.
“I am mega happy tonight but also a bit tired now. It’s been a very good race and I am more than happy with this fifth in a big bike race. It’s not only my best result in the Superbike and Senior races, but also for the whole penz13 team and I am delighted to see everyone so happy,” said Kneen.
“I don’t really know what happened in pit lane, we have to evaluate that one before we go out on the Stocker and into the Senior. But for tonight, I am more than happy and delighted.”
