Skinner Bags Superteen Title

Scottish youngster Rory Skinner bagged the 2014 Dunlop Aprilia Superteen title at Thundersport’s Donington Park round yesterday and now has his eye a move into the Motul British Motostar series for the last two rounds of the series.
The 13-year-old celebrated his birthday in style at the Leicestershire track, securing the title with a round in hand after building a 134-point lead over the talented Georgina Polden.
“It’s been an amazing experience and it feels really good to win the championship. We approached this race the same as all the others, not really thinking about the championship but just looking to do our very best in every race,” said Skinner, who is one of the Bennetts/BSN search for a star winners.
“To take the title with three wins and a new lap record is an amazing result and I want to thank everyone who has helped me this season for all their support.”
In addition to dominating the Superteen series, Skinner has also raced a 125cc Honda Grand Prix bike in the Scottish championships, as well as tasting a four-stroke machine for the first time with two wild-card outings in the international Moriwaki Junior Cup, in which he secured an impressive podium finish in Assen.
