Milwaukee Yamaha debutant Josh Waters starts the MCE British Superbike race tomorrow from the second row. The Aussie rider had a solid free practice session, and is pleased with his progress he has made on board his Yamaha.

Qualifying today was cancelled because of the bad weather conditions, so the grid was made up from the combined practice times, resulting in Waters starting on row two on Sunday.

"Yesterday I was a lot further up than I was in the first round, so to start on the second row was ok. But I would have rather rode in the wet or dry in qualifying, but the track was not safe.

"But safety is the priority, but I did not know what it was like, so these guys run a really good series so they know what they are doing, so I will take their judgement," said Waters, speaking to Bikesportnews.com at the circuit.

Most of the British Superbike rookies find themselves on the two front rows for the race tomorrow, but Waters is just hoping for some dry track time in the morning.

"All the newcomers are in the first two rows so it should be good, hopefully the warm up should be ok and the weather, so we shall see what we can do tomorrow."
